Tap the tip of your tongue quickly against the ridge behind your top teeth. For a double rr, let it flutter several times.

The French R: rouge, Paris
The French R is made at the back of the throat, like a soft gargle. Keep the tip of your tongue resting behind your bottom teeth.

Long vowels: ใใฐใใ ยท ใใฐใใใ
A long vowel lasts twice as long, and it changes the meaning. ใใฐใใ (obasan) is "aunt"; ใใฐใใใ (obฤsan) is "grandmother".

ร and ร: รผber, schรถn
For รผ, put your tongue where it is for the vowel i, then round your lips tightly as for u. For รถ, do the same from e: tongue as for e, lips rounded.

๋ฌ ยท ๋ธ ยท ํ โ three kinds of D/T
ใท is soft and relaxed, ใธ is tense with no puff of air, and ใ comes with a strong puff. Hold a hand in front of your mouth: only ํ should blow on it.

Double letters: pala ยท palla
Hold a double consonant a beat longer than a single one. Pala (shovel) and palla (ball) differ only in that pause.

How does Vocavoy score pronunciation?
You read a phrase out loud. Speech recognition transcribes what it heard, and Vocavoy compares that word by word with the target phrase. Words it recognised clearly score high; words it misheard score low, and you get a tip for the sound that most likely caused it.
Can an app really fix my accent?
An app can't replace a coach listening for subtle intonation, but it is very good at the most common problem: sounds that change the word (pero vs. perro, ใใฐใใ vs. ใใฐใใใ). Fixing those makes you understood, and you can practise them every day.
How long should I practise pronunciation each day?
