ใท is soft and relaxed, ใธ is tense with no puff of air, and ใ comes with a strong puff. Hold a hand in front of your mouth: only ํ should blow on it.
Why learn Korean?
Korean is behind K-dramas, K-pop and one of the world's most exciting food and travel scenes, from Seoul to Jeju.
Hangul, the Korean alphabet, was designed to be easy: 24 letters that combine into syllable blocks. Most learners can read it after a few days of practice.
Is Korean hard to learn?
Korean is among the hardest languages for English speakers because of its grammar (verb last, particles, speech levels) and vocabulary that shares almost nothing with English. Reading is the easy part. Vocavoy starts with a Hangul trainer, then builds everyday phrases with romanisation and audio for every word.
The parts Vocavoy drills hardest in Korean:
- three kinds of D/T: ๋ฌ ยท ๋ธ ยท ํ
- polite -์ endings
- particles ์/๋ and ์ด/๊ฐ
- building syllable blocks in Hangul
How Vocavoy teaches Korean
- Lessons: new words, then real sentences you build, hear and complete, with native-speaker audio.
- Vocab Sprint: 60 seconds of spaced-repetition review a day. Why it works.
- Accent Coach: say phrases out loud and get a score for every word. How scoring works.
- AI tutor: roleplay Korean scenes by text or on a hands-free call. Meet Croco.
- Checkpoints: a short roleplay at the end of each city before you get its stamp.
